ATTENTION!
IMPORTANT EVENT UPDATE 

New this year we’re using Runner’s Life as a timing company. Their timers are re-usable, cutting back on waste and making events like this one more environmentally friendly.  The timers which we are issuing for timed events will be attached to a piece of Velcro which must be worn around your ankle or arm (but it is highly recommended from the company that it be worn on the ankle). That said, there will not be bibs. Only those who have registered for a timed event will have a numbered timer assigned to them. The timers MUST be returned at the end of the race. Volunteers will be collecting them at the finish line and during the baby race & awards ceremony.  

TIMED WALK/RUN PARTICIPANTS: 

All timers for the 3K run, 5K walk and 5K run will be assigned to you on Saturday, June 8 only!  Please make sure to give yourself enough time to get your timers and warm up!   

Once on site, make your way to the Registration tent to be assigned your timer. Lines will be divided into alphabetical order by last name. 

All timers are specifically assigned to your names.  If you have names that need to be added or changed on your teams please email Sophie Prescott at [email protected] as soon as possible and she will make the adjustments. 

There will be grab bags available for ALL PARTICIPANTS on site on Saturday, after the race.  If you wish to collect your grab bag on Friday, please see Sophie Prescott, [email protected] in the Octagon Room to pick-up between 4-7pm.  

PARKING:  

Parking will be at the Rexall parking lot located at 430 Ottawa St. In Almonte, and we will have a shuttle bus taking everyone to and from 95 Spring St starting at 7:30am.  Please look for the volunteer in the orange shirt and park in the east end of the lot. 

CASH DONATIONS: 

If you have any cash donations or pledge forms, please drop them off to Sophie Prescott in the Octagon Room on Friday June 7 between 4-7pm. If you cannot make it on Friday, please bring them with you on the morning of June 8 and drop it off to our Bank, located at the Registration Tent. 

Fundraiser pages will close on Saturday at 10am. Winners will be announced at 10:45am. 

REGISTRATION & DONATIONS:  

Online registration will be open until Friday at 11:59pm. Not to worry, you can still register on site on Saturday until 9am. In-person donations for fundraising pages must be made before 10am. All other donations are accepted throughout the event.  

We understand that the addition of getting your timers and grab bags on Saturday may be an inconvenience for some and we do apologize.   Since this is a new process for us all, we kindly ask for patience and understanding for our volunteers.  We are working hard to make sure that this process is smooth and quick, giving you lots of time to get in the zone and enjoy the day.

WATCH YOUR LITTLE ONES CRAWL, WALK OR RUN TO THE FINISH LINE!

The Baby Races will take place on the main lawn at 95 Spring St. (beside the start/finish line).  The winner of each race will receive a prize donated by our friends Kentfield Kids!  Not to worry, we will also have a little something for every child who participates - it's a win win!

Crawl Race: 0-11 months

Walk: 1-2 year olds

Run: 2-4 year olds

JUNE 7: KIT PICK UP 4 P.M. -7 P.M.   95 SPRING ST. 

ALL RACES WILL START AND FINISH AT 95 SPRING ST. (BESIDE THE OTTAWA VALLEY FAMILY HEALTH TEAM BUILDING). 


 JUNE 8: PARKING & SHUTTLE BUS: 7:30 A.M. - 9:00 A.M.

PLEASE PARK AT THE REXALL PARKING LOT LOCATED AT 430 OTTAWA STREET.  THERE WILL BE A SHUTTLE BUS THAT WILL TAKE YOU TO AND FROM THE EVENT.  PLEASE DO NOT PARK AT THE HOSPITAL AS WE WANT TO KEEP THE SPOTS OPEN FOR PATIENTS, VISITORS AND STAFF.

RACE TIMES:

5KM RUN/WALK:            9:00 A.M. & 9:05 A.M.

3KM RUN/WALK:            9:10 A.M. - 9:15 A.M.

BABY RACE:                    10:30 A.M.

Award Ceremony for top fundraising teams, families and individuals as well as top finishers in each category.


Almonte Civitan will be on-site selling breakfast so don't forget to bring cash!

Recovery food will be available and complimentary for all walkers/runners.

There will be lots of fun activities and games for the kids including face painting and the Baby Race!
