On Wednesday, May 27, 2026, Almonte District High School will host its second annual Thunderstomp—a fun‑filled, outdoor fundraising event in support of the AGH Run for Women’s and Newborn’s Health. Funds raised support the obstetrics and birthing unit at Almonte General Hospital, a cause that is especially meaningful to our school community. Many of our students—and even their parents—were born at AGH, and many more will rely on this care in the future.
Thunderstomp brings students together in teams to raise funds through community pledges, followed by a school‑wide event that includes walking the track, friendly competitions, and engaging activities such as tug‑of‑war, obstacle courses, and performances.
Last year, our school community proudly raised $18,210. This year, we are aiming to surpass $20,000.
Thank you to individuals and community businesses for your generosity and support. Every contribution—big or small—helps make a meaningful difference for local families.
