Why would a man run for women’s health, you might wonder? The answer is simple and deeply personal. My mother, Marion Arbuckle, was the greatest woman I’ve ever known. She was a woman of immense kindness, wisdom, and compassion. She always taught me that the greatest gift we can give is helping others, especially when they need it most. Her legacy has shaped who I am today, and in her memory, I feel compelled to give back to those who need it most.
As a resident and business owner in the small town of Almonte, our local hospital is a special part of our lives, and many of the people we serve—our friends, neighbours, and loved ones—are women. It’s an honour for me to support them, just as my mother taught me to.
When we think about giving, we often hesitate, wondering if we have enough to offer. But as the saying goes, “Where there’s a will, there’s a way.” This cause is close to my heart, and I believe that, together, we can make a lasting difference.
