Hello everyone! We’re excited to share that we are fundraising for the AGH Run for Women’s & Newborn Health again this year, with all funds going to the Almonte General Hospital’s Obstetrics Unit. Many of our students (and their parents and even grandparents) were born at the Almonte Hospital, so it holds a very special place in all of our hearts. 

Our goal is to raise over $2,000, and we’re hoping that you can help us reach it. 

Did you know that in a recent Abacus Poll in Ontario, 73% of people admitted they didn’t know how hospitals are funded? Many don’t realize that the provincial government doesn’t cover the cost of clinical equipment needed by physicians and staff. Because of this, our local hospital, AGH, relies on the generosity of the community to provide the funds necessary for the care of mothers and newborns. That’s why fundraising is so important!
