Hello everyone! Our team’s name is The Sparkly Labrons and we are students at Almonte and District High School. This year, we are fundraising for the AGH Run for Women’s & Newborn Health, with all funds going to the Almonte General Hospital’s Obstetrics Unit. Our goal is to reach $1000 and I’m hoping that you can help us get there. In a recent Abacus Poll in Ontario, 73% of the population admitted they did not know how hospitals are funded - including the fact that the provincial government does not pay for the clinical equipment used by physicians and staff. As a result, the Almonte General Hospital relies on community support to contribute the necessary funds. This is why fundraising is so important! Let’s come together and support our amazing local hospital by contributing what we can. Our team consists of Stella Marchand, Rhaea Southwell, Anastasiia Patsera, and Rebecca Bellavance!
